"Le Dejeuner des Canotiers", Art Print, Auguste Renoir

"Les Dejeuner des Canotiers" also known as Luncheon of the Boating Party (1881), was originally painted by Auguste Renoir (1841-1919) using oil paints on canvas. This print is 11 1/2 x 9 1/2. Printed in France (1956). This painting depicts a crowd at a favorite restaurant of Monet and Renoir, the Auberge du Pere Furnace. The image served as a reminder of the importance of the social circle to accomplish things and included a variety of professionals from various industries. The original painting now resides in The Phillips Collection in Washington, D.C. and was acquired in 1923. Printed by Braun S. A. Mulhouse-Paris.
